Acrylics are an easy and versatile medium. You can create paintings similar to the old Masters’ oils or watercolors. You can even embrace a more modern aesthetic by adding more sculptural elements or by using special effects medium. In the first class you will experiment with brush vs palette knife paintings. This class will focus on color blocking and creating several quick, painterly paintings. In following classes, you will put use what you learned create 36 finished paintings of different. All levels welcome but class is geared to beginners. Materials NOT included but typically cost $100. The list of materials will be emailed to students after registration. No class February 16.
