In this one week program, you will learn the essential ingredients and methods needed to get the most out of your baking. Students will learn the art of creating tasty baked goods, pastries, and confections, from traditional bread baking to beautiful showpieces. Please bring a food safe container to take home any leftovers. Instructor Maureen Benton.

Iconic summer dishes and an eclectic variety of seasonal meals will be featured as students prepare lunch for themselves and their fellow students. From shucking corn, to making potato salad & grilling burgers, to making sauces and vinaigrettes, a broad range of culinary techniques and kitchen operations will be explored under the guidance and supervision of Chef Birchall. All Spiced Up! Cooking with Anjula! (age 9-14) YUTH 112.51, CRN 26091
Join Anjula as she teaches you how to play with Indian spices while creating some of her favorite summer dishes, all with a Desi twist! Let's make Makhani Mac & Cheese, Chicken with Tandoori spices , Anari Home Fries and many more summer favorites! Yes there are a lot of Indian spices, but they don't need to be complicated. Let's explore together, learn something new and have some summer fun! Please bring a small food safe container to take any leftovers home.
Culinary Summer Fun with Chef Tracy! (age 9-14) YUTH 113.51, CRN 26092
Come learn some new skills from Chef Tracy as she creates some amazing culinary delights this summer! The week will feature the following topics and themes:
Monday: Pizza Party! Everybody loves pizza! Learn how to make pizza dough and tomato sauce from scratch. Students will be able to customize their own toppings, and try new flavor combinations. What’s a party without something sweet? Let’s have a ball, and make ice cream using an ice cream ball!
Tuesday: Baking Basics Learn how to measure ingredients like a pro. Students will make biscuits and gluten free cheddar scones. Let’s take these staples to the next level but making homemade butter, and jam!
Wednesday: Breakfast for Champions! Waffles, eggs, and breakfast sausage!
Thursday: Tastes of Summer! Decorate and plant your own herb pots! Explore tastes of different and unique vegetables that come right out of Chef Tracy’s own garden. Then let’s make fresh pesto!
Friday: CHOPPED Junior The competition is on! Teams will battle against each other to create dishes using a few secret ingredients. It’s all about getting creative, and using the skills we’ve learned this week to make something new!

Discover the Lua coding language while designing experiences in ROBLOX®, an online universe where you can create anything you dream of. This class combines game design concepts, coding, and fun! New developers will learn to use Roblox’s Studio software to reimagine the popular game genres with your own custom code! Student- created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
